Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all services provided by Sankalana Cultural Dance Academy (ABN 32 266 410 945), including dance classes, workshops, cultural performances, events, and Poruwa ceremony bookings.

Dance Classes & Workshops

Payment for dance classes and workshops must be made in advance prior to attending. Once payment is received, fees are non-refundable unless the class or workshop is cancelled by the Academy.

If you wish to cancel your enrolment before commencing a term or course, please contact us as soon as possible. In such cases, a partial refund may be considered based on the number of sessions already attended. No refund is provided for sessions already delivered.

Event & Performance Bookings

A non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure your event or performance date. The remaining balance is due prior to the performance date as agreed at time of booking.

If you cancel an event or performance booking:

  • More than 30 days before the event: You may receive a refund of any amount paid beyond the deposit, at the Academy’s discretion.
  • Within 30 days of the event: No refund will be provided. The full booking fee is forfeited.

If Sankalana Cultural Dance Academy cancels or is unable to fulfil a confirmed booking, a full refund of all amounts paid will be provided.

Poruwa Ceremony Bookings

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your Poruwa ceremony date. This deposit covers preparation, costume arrangements, and ceremony planning costs.

The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to the ceremony. If a booking is cancelled by the client after the deposit has been paid, the deposit is forfeited. If the Academy cancels the booking, all amounts paid (including the deposit) will be refunded in full.

Academy-Initiated Cancellations

In the event that Sankalana Cultural Dance Academy cancels any class, workshop, event, or booking, affected participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered either a full refund or a reschedule to an alternative date.

All refund requests will be reviewed within 5–7 business days. Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method.
